In 2024, Dutch pension funds invested more in U.S. companies than European companies. During that year, Dutch pension funds invested *** billion euros in non-financial corporations in the United States, whereas investment within the Europe remained lower, at around ** billion. This may be partly due to the larger size of U.S. companies in comparison to the European ones by market capitalization. On the other hand, Dutch pension funds invested more in Europe in comparison to the United States in total, as investments in government and European financial institutions were considerably higher. In 2024, the investment in the European sovereign bonds was valued at *** billion euros, while financial institutions, such as banks, attracted *** billion euros.Â
