During financial year 2022, the scheduled private Indian airlines carried around ** metric tons of cargo volume. The cargo volume kept increasing from financial year 2009 to financial year 2019. The volume declined in 2020 mainly due to the impact of the coronavirus pandemic. The cargo volume comprised the freight and mail volume.
