The AWDC's rough diamond imports dropped by ** percent during the same period in 2020 as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, and the center's exports of polished diamonds decreased by ** percent.
Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, miners were forced to delay and cancel diamond sales, and many diamond shows were cancelled. The pandemic impacted all aspects of the diamond supply chain.
