Passengers boarded by the largest Canadian air carriers 1990-2023
In 2023, more than 79.6 million passengers were boarded by the major Canadian air carriers, representing a 27 percent increase compared to the previous year. Over the period given, the passenger traffic overall increased until 2019, before decreasing due to the coronavirus pandemic. In the following years, the passenger number started increasing again.Â
