Supplementary notes
* Income is defined as personal net income and is divided into three categories:
- Low income is defined as the country-specific bottom third of the personal income allocation.
- Medium income is defined as the country-specific average third of the personal income allocation.
- High income is defined as the country-specific top third of the personal income allocation.
The package holidays segment comprises of travel deals booked via the Internet using online travel agencies (e.g. Opodo, Expedia) or directly from a tour operator (e.g. TUI, Thomas Cook). Package holidays normally contain travel and accommodation sold for one price, although optional further provisions can be included such as catering and tourist services. Users represent the people who booked the package holidays, independent of the number of people travelling on that booking.
Offline bookings made, for example, in a travel agent鈥檚 office or by telephone are not included; a prerequisite for this segment is an online checkout process.
