In 2022, 27 percent of respondents in Italy reported that they had taken oral antibiotics in the previous 12 months, this was above the European average at 23 percent. Conversely, 73 percent of respondents in Italy reported that they had not taken oral antibiotics in the previous 12 months, as of March 2022.
