Global feed production amounted to *** billion metric tons in 2024. Poultry was responsible for the highest share of demand, exceeding million metric tons. It was followed closely by the pig segment, with million metric tons. Feed production has increased year-on-year since 2011, except for a slight decline in 2022. The most common commodity used for feed is maize, followed by flours and meals of oil seeds.
