This statistic displays the volume of waste that has been diverted in Nova Scotia in 2012, by type of material. During this year, some metric tons of ferrous metals were diverted from entering the waste stream. The overall amount of waste generated in Canada has increased, however, recycling rates have also increased across most of the country.
