According to the source, the figures refer to primary reception channels, i.e. the reception method used on the main TV set of the household. Accordingly, TV households that received TV via DVB-T on a secondary or tertiary device are not included in this statistic.
The source provides the following additional information: The data basis of Astra TV-Monitor 2015 is based on new official demographic statistics. As a result, the number of TV households lowers from 38.8 million in 2014 to 38.1 million in 2015.
