In the third quarter of 2025, Amazon Web Services (AWS) held around a ** percent market share of the global cloud infrastructure services market, while Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud accounted for ** percent and ** percent of the market, respectively. Smaller cloud providers comprised the remaining ** percent share.
Infrastructure as a service (IaaS) or cloud infrastructure services form one of the three core service models of the cloud computing market, along with platform as a service (PaaS) and software as a service (SaaS). In the IaaS service model, a third party provides and maintains infrastructure components on behalf of its customers.
Within the cloud computing market, software as a service (SaaS) is—and is expected to remain—the largest segment overall. Software as a service, also referred to as web-based software, is delivered over the internet. This frees organizations from having to manage hardware and software as the provider manages the application. This includes performance and security, too.
