The results of a survey about expectations and attitudes towards retirement and savings conducted in 2020, revealed that being enrolled into one's employer retirement plan was the most common reason mentioned amongst the people surveyed in the Netherlands at that time, with ** percent of respondents stating this as a key prompt to begin saving for retirement. A further ** percent stated that they had no particular reason to begin saving for retirement when they did.
