The production of passenger cars in Canada was declining between 2013 and 2021. After 2021, passenger car production proceeded to rise, with 376,900 cars being produced in 2023. However, in 2024, the production volume decreased considerably and amounted to 217,340 cars. This represents a 42 percent decline compared to the previous year.
