Citation formats

The average household electricity price in Sweden for a consumption between 2,500 and 5,000 kilowatt-hours was 26.54 euro cents per kilowatt-hour in the first half of 2025. Electricity prices have been above average since the beginning of 2021, when Europe was hit by a global energy crisis.

European comparisons

Swedish households had below-average prices when compared to electricity prices in the European Union. In fact, the country is a net exporter of electricity and produces most of the consumed electricity domestically.
