The procedures are considered safe, with the demand for such procedures growing in popularity. The share of individuals wearing contact lenses in Europe is highest in Serbia with approximately ** percent of individuals wearing them. Slovakia, Italy and Latvia follow with a respective ** percent of the population wearing contact lenses.
Cataract eye surgery is also a popular treatment method for individuals seeking successful removal of cataracts from their eyes. The highest number of day cases of cataract surgery occurred in Belgium with * day cases per 100,000 population, followed by Denmark with day cases per 100,000 population.
