Warehouses in France comply with specific standards, and their classification depends on their uses as well as the type of products they store. Criteria such as access that does not pass through an urban area or a heavy truck parking lot are important to be classified as Class A, whereas for Class B, the criteria are those considered standard (such as a fire suppression system meeting standards and holding operating permits, for example). In France, Class A and B logistics warehouses represent about half of the French market, with the other half composed of Class C warehouses, refrigerated warehouses, and parcel delivery warehouses.
