The source adds the following information: "Health professionals whose patient base is atypical (abnormally low or abnormally high number) are not included." and "An APE health professional is a health professional who has practiced a normal private activity, over a full year, within the conventional framework. Therefore, the following are excluded from the group of APE health professionals:
- health professionals who established their practice during the year
- health professionals who are not conventionally registered
- health professionals who work full-time in a hospital
- health professionals who reached the age of 65 during the year."
The source specifies: "A patient is counted only once per practitioner regardless of the frequency of visits during the year."
