The question asked during the survey was: "In the past 12 months, how often have you had six or more alcoholic drinks on a single occasion?" Possible answers: never, less than once a month, once a month, once a week, every day or almost every day. This threshold of six drinks on one occasion corresponds to the definition of significant occasional alcohol consumption (binge drinking) for an adult.
