The gender digital divide is defined as the difference between the percentage of men and the percentage of women who use ICT (in this case, the Internet). The gap is expressed in percentage points.

Gender digital divide: Internet use in Spain 2012-2024
After four consecutive years without a digital gender gap, in 2023, for the first time, a higher percentage of female Internet users than male users was recorded in Spain. In 2024, this trend repeated, and although the difference is minimal, it reflects the consolidation of the penetration of these technologies among the Spanish female population.
