The source adds the following information: "The population targeted by the survey consists of households residing in urban and rural areas whose dwellings are located in electrified zones (e.z) and individuals aged 5 years and older. The reference base is the General Population and Housing Census conducted in 2014 by the HCP (High Commission for Planning). The data used for geographic distribution and sample segmentation also come from recent publications of the HCP (Statistical Yearbook 2014)."

This chart shows the evolution of mobile phone ownership among individuals in Morocco between 2013 and 2015, according to their area of residence. Although there was a slight decrease in urban areas in 2015, most individuals owned a mobile phone in both living environments.
