* The survey was conducted with more than 3,000 people, mostly women, but specifically with the following characteristics:
- 91 percent women, 8 percent men, 1 percent transgender
- 83 percent heterosexual, 12 percent bisexual, 4 percent homosexual, 1 percent none of the above
- 51 percent in a relationship, 31 percent not dating anyone, 18 percent dating someone/occasional sex.
The original survey question was: "If you watch porn but feel conflicted about it—why?".
This statistic presents the reasons why women who watch pornography and feel conflicted about it experience these feelings according to a survey conducted in 2015. More than half of the participants stated that they are concerned about how the porn industry treats women, but they still consume it because it excites them.
