It is estimated that worldwide, about *** million people aged 20 to 79 died from diabetes in 2024. Of that total, approximately *** million deaths occurred in the Western Pacific region. This figure represents more than double the estimated deaths in North America and the Caribbean, the second region with the highest number of deaths from this disease.
