The global ranking of the "Made-In Country Index" shows the opinion of consumers from different countries around the world regarding the "made in" label.
Using a scale from 1 to 5 (1 = very positive opinion, 5 = very negative opinion), respondents answered the following question: "Many products have a label with information about the country where the product was made. Therefore, what is your opinion of products with the 'made in...' label?"
For the calculation of the index, only the values corresponding to the response options "slightly positive" and "very positive" were considered, counting the average value reached by each country and assigning a score of 100 to the highest-rated country.

This ranking presents the results of the Made-In-Country Index 2017, a survey on the perception of products labeled "made in" by consumers from different countries around the world. According to this index, Chinese consumers showed a very positive attitude towards German products, even more so than those from other Asian countries.
