After reaching a record of ** billion U.S. dollars in 2019, spending by foreign tourists in France was halved in 2020, as a result of travel restrictions during the global health crisis. Since 2021, spending has been rising again and even exceeded pre-pandemic levels with ** billion U.S. dollars in 2024.
