Temperatures have increased worldwide over the past 100 years. In the 1910s, the average global temperatures were about 0.38 degrees Celsius lower than the average temperatures recorded between 1910 and 2000. During the last decade (the 2010s), the world experienced temperatures 1.21 degrees Celsius higher than the average. In September 2022, the new decade recorded an average temperature 0.92 degrees Celsius warmer than the previous decade.
