This chart shows the evolution of the turnover of the textile and clothing sector in the European Union between 2012 and 2021, in millions of euros. It can be seen that sales of textiles and clothing articles steadily increased between 2013 and 2017, reaching a value of nearly 177 billion euros at the end of the period in question; however, the turnover dropped starting in 2018 to reach an estimated nearly 139 billion euros in 2021.
