The personnel numbers of the Chinese and Taiwanese armed forces are very unbalanced. The Chinese ground forces are more than ten times larger than the Taiwanese, with 965,000 soldiers for China compared to 88,000 for Taiwan.
Taiwan did not have any strategic missile forces or any strategic support forces, unlike China.
