In the first quarter of 2025, international visitors to New Zealand in the 60 to 64 age cohort accounted for the highest proportion of international tourist expenditure for holiday purposes in the country, making up ** percent of spending. Among those visiting New Zealand from abroad to go to a conference, 65 to 69-year-olds accounted for the highest share of international tourist spending.Â
