According to a survey of internet users in Germany, as of the third quarter of 2024, about 80.9 percent of respondents reported playing video games on any device. Smartphone gaming was the most popular option among respondents, with roughly 62.3 percent stating they played video games on their smartphones. PC gaming was more popular than console gaming, with 36.8 percent of respondents stating they played on a laptop or desktop, compared to the 34.8 percent reporting they played on a console.
