An indicator of the economic health of non-manufacturing sectors such as the service industry, the non-manufacturing Purchasing Leader Index is constituted by ten major indicators: business activity, new orders, new export orders, in-hand orders, stock index, intermediate input price, subscription price, employment, supplier delivery time and business activity expectation indices. An index value above 50 percent indicates a positive development in the industrial sector, whereas a value below 50 percent indicates a negative situation.
