According to a 2022 global review of studies published on the applications of virtual reality in the area of education in healthcare, subjects related to minimally invasive procedures were the most prevalent at over 43 percent. Furthermore, just under 30 percent of the studies considered were focused on VR applications in the training of general surgery and internal medicine.
