The analysis is based on approximately 5,100 companies in the healthcare services sector, identified through keyword-based searches on Quid. These companies were either founded since 2010 or received funding since August 2019, and are located in APAC markets (excluding China, Japan, South Korea, Australia, and New Zealand). The companies were grouped according to similarities in products, technologies, customers, service offerings, and other relevant factors.

Between 2019 and 2024, around ** percent of accumulated private investment in the health services segment in Asia (excluding China, Japan, South Korea, Australia, and New Zealand) was allocated to India. During this period, more than half of private investment in the medical technology segment in the region went to Singapore.
