In 2023, around 5.6 percent of adults in the United States whose educational attainment was less than a high school diploma were estimated to have ever had a heart attack. This was the group with the highest prevalence of heart attacks throughout the given period when compared to people from other educational backgrounds. The prevalence of heart attacks was significantly lower in adults with higher educational attainment.
