Unit sales were measured based on category type (liters, tons, or pack units). Only categories with sales exceeding 5 million Israeli shekels in 2023 were analyzed.
The data is based on a sample of 3,000 stores, representing over 87 percent of the total FMCG market at various store types in Israel. The source recorded data at the point of sale to estimate the total market values for the country, excluding kiosks and the Arab community.
'Functional beverage' refers to drinks that contain bioactive ingredients, such as vitamins, minerals, or probiotics, that may entail health benefits.

In 2023, the highest growth food product category in Israel were vegetable snacks, with an increase of ** percent in unit sales year-on-year.
