Quintillion Business Media Limited (QBML) was set up as a step-down subsidiary of the Indian media group founded by Raghav Bahl, Quintillion Digital Limited (QDL), in 2015. In 2016, QBML partnered with Bloomberg LP to create BloombergQuint. However, Bloomberg withdrew from the venture in 2022 and QDL reacquired the American media company's stakes in early 2023 through its subsidiary, Quintillion Media. The Adani Group's takeover of QBML progressed in two parts, with a ** percent acquisition on March 27, 2023, followed by the remaining ** percent shares being acquired in December 2023. QBML, also known as BQPrime, was rebranded as NDTV Profit and is an Adani Media Group entity with no overlap with QDL and its subsidiaries.
