Four major satellite constellations—Starlink, Kuiper, G60, and GuoWang—are projected to account for nearly of all satellites by 2033. Comprised of small satellites in low Earth orbit, these so-called mega-constellations aim to provide low-latency internet coverage across the globe. As of 2024, SpaceX's Starlink was the only service of the four to be operational.
