The source defines unsheltered people as people living on the street; in other public spaces (gardens, overpasses, public transport stations); in emergency shelters (emergency vacancies in accommodation centers), or in precarious places (abandoned cars, stairwells, abandoned houses).Â
The source defines unhoused people as people living in temporary accommodation centers (includes Social Security or other similar responses, places for individuals or families where overnight stays are limited, without access to long-term accommodation); in specific accommodation for homeless people (transitional apartments for homeless people, where overnight stays are limited, without access to long-term accommodation), or in rooms paid for (in full or in part) by social services or other entities.
