U.S. teachers thinking of cellphone distraction as a major problem 2023
Students' use of cellphones can distract them from classroom activity at all school levels. A survey conducted between October and November 2023 found that 33 percent of public school teachers in the United States perceive cellphone distraction as a major problem in the classroom. Though only six percent of elementary school teachers and 33 percent of middle school teachers find it problematic, a large share of high school teachers see it as a significant problem.
