Global clean energy annual deployment increased across several key technologies in 2024. Solar PV capacity grew ** percent, while wind capacity saw a growth rate of percent. However, these were noteable reductions when compared to the annual growth rates for these technologies the previous year, which were ** and ** percent, respectively. In contrast, global sales of heat pumps fell *** percent year-on-year, with sharp annual declines observed in Europe.Â
