Despite this, the largest PE deal throughout the period considered involved LATAM Airlines Group S.A., a Chilean multinational airline holding company headquartered in Santiago, Chile. The PE deal, sponsored by a consortium of investors made up of Oaktree Capital Management, Knighthead Capital Management, and Banco Santander, was worth *** billion U.S. dollars.
