In September 2023, there were an estimated 13,770 telehealth abortions provided by healthcare providers in the United States. Between April 2022 and June 2023, only telehealth abortions provided by virtual-only health care providers were included. However, since July 2023 telehealth abortions provided by brick-and-mortar clinics that also offer in-person abortion care were included. This explains the increase in the number of telehealth abortions after June 2023.
