Christianity is, by far, the largest religion in Denmark with nearly 4.5 million members of the Danish People's Church or other Christian communities. Moreover, there are estimated to be around 300,000 Muslims in the country, but the exact number is not known. In general, estimating the exact number of people having a specific religious belief is difficult, and even for the members of the Danish People's Church, many do not actively participate in ceremonies.
