Solar photovoltaic capacity has grown significantly in Brazil in the last few years. The cost of residential and commercial solar PV systems has decreased considerably in the last few years.

Solar PV outlook in Brazil

The Brazilian solar sector is expected to continue growing at a fast pace in the next years. By 2028, the country is expected to reach a cumulative distributed solar capacity ranging from ** to ** gigawatts. On the other hand, centralized solar energy capacity is forecast to increase to **** gigawatts in a conservative scenario and to **** gigawatts in an optimistic scenario.
