The performance of hedge funds by investment strategy varied greatly. In 2019, hedge funds following an arbitrage strategy generated net returns of *** percent, this was in stark contrast to equity hedge funds, which yielded a net return of almost ** percent. In 2024, however, there was a smaller spread in the rates of returns generated, with the lowest rate of returns being and the highest rate remaining below ** percent.
