*The definition of an active athlete by the Israeli Central Bureau of Statistics: There are two criteria that define an active athlete:
Participation in a minimum number of competitions (the number of competitions depends on the field) and an upper threshold of year of birth, only those born before the year set as the threshold year will be considered an active athlete (the threshold of the year of birth is dependent on the field).
