According to a survey that was conducted in October 2023 in Japan, over ** percent of 17- to 19-year-olds thought that the explanation of the government on the release of treated water from the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant was rather enough or if anything, it was insufficient. The treated wastewater started being released into the Pacific Ocean from * onward as part of the decommissioning process of the nuclear power plant.
