The countries with the largest production of lumber in 2023 were China and the United States. China produced * million cubic meters of wood-based panels, which are often used for construction and furniture. Meanwhile, the United States produced  million cubic meters of sawlogs and veneer logs. Russia and Canada also produced over *** million cubic meters of these four types of lumber, which are often used in buildings.
