According to 156 decision makers in the global mining and metals industry who participated in a survey from December 2022 to January 2023, a 36 percent share of the respondents stated that battery minerals would be the most likely mining industry sub-sector to experience market consolidation worldwide in 2023. In a close second, a 33 percent share of the survey respondents stated that base metals would be the most likely sub-sector to experience consolidation that year.
