In Portugal, during the considered period, the average age of women when giving birth to their first child increased at a practically regular pace. In 2010, 28.7 years was the average age of first-time mothers. By 2015, this value had risen to 29.5 years of age. In 2024, women giving birth to their first child were, on average, 30.3 years old, which was an increase from the previous year.
