Meanwhile, Lord's, known otherwise as the "Home of Cricket", and the Kennington Oval had hosted the third-highest number of Ashes tests overall and the most Ashes tests among cricket grounds in England with ** matches each. On the other end of the scale are stadiums such as the Bellerive Oval in Hobart, Tasmania, which was only used once as a venue in an Ashes series, and Cardiff's Sophia Gardens, which hosted the only *** Ashes test matches played outside of England and Australia.
