The study was conducted using the Internet survey method based on a prepared research platform (LimeSurvey). Completion of the prepared questionnaires most often took place during computer science lessons or a tutoring hour. Each student answered the questions contained in the survey independently, using a school computer connected to the Internet. Only those students who completed the questionnaire were taken into account for the final statistical analysis.

Nearly four in 10Â children in Poland had suicidal thoughts during the period studied. More women than men thought about taking their own lives. Children in post-secondary schools also had a greater tendency to have such thoughts.
